Alpha 11, less bugs more features 0

Here it is, just for you, non-existent public!

This fixes many nasty bugs, especially when working with small layers and offsets. I also added the possibility to crop a layer automatically the visible (non transparent) zone. You can now safely (?) create layer masks, crop tiles, move them around. Paint in smaller layers with different tools. This also fixes display issues where a layer that’s smaller than the document would have a layer mask bigger than itself causing a transparent area to be shown around it. And finally I fixed a small but terrible bug introduced in the last release that causes filter handles (draggable points) to stay on screen.

Oval selection working 0

Here comes the daily update. While others spend their days burning (the wrong) flags and stoning embassies for some stupid cartoon, other actually get some job done.

This fixes problems that occured when adding/mergin/deleting layers while layer properties were visible. We also get working oval selections (previously they actually selected rectangles). Now we only have one tool left that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do: Text. Although this one will take quite some additional time to come since there are still many other things to fix.

As usual you can get it from the famous download page.

Working navigation 0

And here is a little release with a few fixes. The navigation panel is now optional (checkbox) and you can actually navigate the document using it. It will only show if necessary (all image doesn’t fit in window).

As usual, get it from the holy download page.

Alpha 08 release 0

So here we have a new release, still alpha but doing better. I found a temporary(?) workaround for the dissapearing paint but its not the fastest way (I recreate an accumulator the size of the document brefore each paint…).

Outside the many bugfixes (see changelog in Mantis) you will mostky notice the new transparent parameters window when adding filters and the navigation box at the lower-left corner of the document. Also, new basic functions such as cut and clear have been added. This time you even get a screenshot:

Have fun!

More fixes coming… 0

Hm, looks like the previous release was a bit premature. Now that’s why it’s called alpha anyway. I am in the processing quite a few bugs, especially in the painting which tends not to keep changes once you refresh. I hope I can post an update today or tommorrow.
