Release 0.80 - Fixes. Both under and over the hood
Here we are with a sunday night release.
Changes:
- Initialization fixes (creating images on mac mini doesn’t seem to crash, for one)
- Web export now shows progress
- Web export now shows ideal numbers of colors (if under 256), with a button to set it as current
- Web export: more dithering modes available
- Some small visual fixes here and there (especially there)
As usual, please update, test, and report your wonderful experience. Or other experiences.
Getting nearer to the 1.0 release!!
Will this be freeware when it does get there?
Well 1.0 is just a number, I might start doing 0.901 0.902 if I feel I can’t get there in the next 20 releases
I am not planning to release it as freeware for now, although if I ever get tired of the project I’ll probably opensource it. For now I enjoy working on it at my own rythm, from time to time, and I do enjoy getting getting a few euros here and there to pay for hosting and silly gadgets. Anyway I don’t plan to make the limitations any more bothering either, so if you don’t want to pay when it gets to 1.0 all you’ll have to do is answer the famous math question.
