One day, there will be something useful in this box (like screenshots, screencasts)

Downloads

ChocoFlop is still in development stages. You can download an ALPHA release. I just hope you understand what alpha means: this software is still being developed You can use it but just don’t cry on me if features don’t work or if it destroys mankind (or on a lower scale your file). I recommend working with copies of your files and eating at least two fruits every day.

1. Get the application

Download ChocoFlop’s latest version
You don’t have to download this if you already have a rather recent version of the application. Just use the autoupdate feature.
If you feel nostalgic for old bugs, you can always get old releases from here.

Auto-update happens through this RSS feed thanks to Sparkle (see ‘appcasting‘ ).

2. (Optional) Get Growl

You could download and install Growl, in case you had not already installed this great notification tool supported by many Mac programs. If you don’t the program will use it’s own notification window (less pretty and configurable). Growl is free, open-source and as a result free from any spyware or whatever you could fear.

For a good result you should use the Preference panel of Growl and set display type to Bezel ( in the applications tab, just for ChocoFlop). That’s how it should look like.

3. (Optional) Get More Filters

These CoreImage filters are free and compatible with any CoreImage app out there. Just unzip the plugin and drop it in:

/Library/Graphics/ImageUnits/

The new filters will appear in the Distortion Category. I decided to separate the filters from the main download in order to share them with other apps. I wish I had some time to start a community project for CoreImage filters. Any volunteer? Those filters are far from perfect since they are early creations, but I’ll update them one day, when I have made more progress on the main project.

4. (Optional) Get Third-Party Filters

Several developers are providing filters that any CoreImage app can use. ChocoFlop can use them as well. Do not hesitate to contact me to provide additional links that I should add here.
